PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (OTR/L required)

REQUIREMENTS: Provide direct and consultative services to high risk and developmentally delayed infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-age children and their families as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team. Provide quality patient care. Participate in program development and personal/professional development. Interact with staff members, caregivers, and outside agencies to develop an integrated intervention plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform and record initial evaluations of child
- Provide occupational therapy according to child’s medical and developmental needs, including development of appropriate home intervention program
- Re-evaluate and modify intervention plan as indicated
- Be responsible for own professional development
- Participate in program development
- Participate as team member in development of total treatment/education plan
- Provide information for the development of IFSPs
- Participate in group situation with ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 (professional:child)
- Participate in clinical education of occupational therapy students and undergraduate interns
- Communicate to the Executive Director and other team members, including other agencies regarding pertinent issues and needs
QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Occupational Therapist. Ability to work with children and families with diverse backgrounds. Sufficient communication skills to work effectively in team situations and the ability to listen, interpret, and respond appropriately to the needs of children and caregivers. Prefer 2 years experience including, feeding therapy, NDT, and/or SI. Knowledge of splinting techniques and adaptive equipment.
INFANT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

Job Summary: As an infant specialist the responsibilities may also require independent administration of intervention services for infants (age birth to three years), according to existing plans, that are at high-risk for developmental delays in any of the following areas: cognition, gross motor, fine motor, speech and/or language, sensory, self-help, social/emotional. Other responsibilities may include assistance with office work (chart organization, scheduling, phone calls, filing, etc.) and material maintenance.
Primary Duties: To provide intervention services for at-risk infants. This may include: Review of client history and appropriately implement current plan of intervention, facilitate all area of development (including: cognitive, gross motor, fine motor, speech/language, social/emotional, self-help, sensory), provide instruction to client\'s family on how to facilitate developmental skills in daily activities, demonstrate listening skills to families that may choose to confide in you while maintaining your professional demeanor, monitor and chart daily progress.
Other Duties: Assist therapists in therapy, this may include preparation or clean-up. Assist in the daily office activities, this may include: filing, billing, organization, clean-up, shopping, answering phones, etc..
Job Requirements: College degree in Child Development or related field (or) 2 years experience in a related field.
PEDIATRIC SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOIST (CCC-SLP, CA LICENCE REQUIRED)

QUALIFICATIONS: California-licensed Speech Pathologist. Ability to work with children and families with diverse backgrounds. Sufficient communication skills to work effectively in team situations and the ability to listen, interpret, and respond appropriately to the needs of children and caregivers. Prefer 2 years pediatric experience including, feeding evaluations and treatment; oral motor treatment techniques; sign language; and understanding of SI.
PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPIST (CA licence required)

Sufficient communication skills to work effectively in team situations and the ability to listen, interpret, and respond appropriately to the needs of children and caregivers. Prefer 2 years pediatric experience including, NDT and/or SI. Knowledge of seating systems and wheelchairs.
